Check this out
Mcom 226 Slideshow Project. I was fortunate enough to meet Chipper Jones and record some of the things he said to my baseball team.

Media Critique
The most watched event in sports, the Super Bowl, is an entertainment spectacular. The actual game is only one third of the action for viewers, the halftime show and the all new commercials attract a much wider audience. The new commercials have always intrigued me because of people getting overly excited to see what company will have the best ad. I found a great article on Grantland.com that lays out the most talked about commercials and the writer breaks each down.
In this article there are imbedded YouTube videos of each commercial being examined. It gives the reader a visual tool to put their own emotions into what they are viewing. Then, they can compare how they felt about the commercial to what the writer saw. Overall, I thought it was a very interactive article, that was entertaining and a good length. There was even a section at the end to leave comments, which makes it even more interactive.
Another multimedia article I found was about President Obama making tax cuts. It starts out with a video of the president speaking to the media about his plans. This is followed by an in-depth article about his plans moving forward. About halfway down the page, there are two more videos if the reader wants to dig even deeper into this issue. Again, I thought the writer did well with incorporating visuals along with the actual article.

WRONG PERSCRIPTION LEAVES CHILD DEAD
Late Saturday morning, seven year old Tania Abondanzio was pronounced dead at Mercy Hospital in Rock Hill, S.C. after she was given the wrong medication by a nurse. Hospital officials announced this news at a press conferences today, releasing the cause of death. Tania was a second grade student at Washington Elementary School in neighboring Fort Mill, planning to return to school on Monday.
Tania was admitted to the hospital on Friday to get her tonsills removed and was perscribed a pain reliver. The procedure went as planned and Tania was prescribed half a miolligram of morphine sulphate, a dosage that is not harmful to a child her age. Instead, as hospital records show, she was given half a milligram of hydromorphone, a much stronger pain reliever.
The patient was given the dosage at 2:30 p.m. on Friday and shortly after started developing severe respiratory problems, complained of being hot, and went into a seizure. She was taken to the intensive care ward after these events and slipped into a coma. Doctors pronounced her brain dead early Saturday morning and was taken off life support at 9:40 a.m.
After an investigation and autopsy, Police are treating Tania's case as accidental. The nurse under question has been suspended for the time being. During today's press conference, the hospital staff saif the two drugs were placed next to each other in a locked cabinet and the wrong bottle was taken. They released this statement also:
"Our sympathy goes out to the family, and we will stay close to them to provide support."
Both her parents and the alleged nurse were not available for comment.

THERE'S AN APP FOR THAT
http://cdn.theatlantic.com/static/mt/assets/science/mobile-app-infographic-post.jpg
This infographic caught my eye because it relates to something that is extremely relevant. The market for smartphone apps is growing and just about every company, website, and tv station has an interactive app for their consumers. Scanning this infographic, I can tell it is well put together and eye pleasing. There is a informative bar graph and the statistics shown are interesting. One problem I have is the wasted space in the center. I also disliked the gray background, but overall a solid infograph.
AMERICA SHOULD TRY A SALAD

One of the biggest problems in this country is obesity. Face it, we are a fat country. This infographic reveals some shocking stats about the issue of behind too fat. They use a tape measure on a large shirt as the focal point of the graph, it's both catchy and informative. They also have a speedometer looking piece that shows just how overweight America has been over the last 40 years. This was overall a very informative and well set up piece.
